Trivia Night this Friday the 25th!

7:30 PM ET

Hello Neighbors, The Mayfair/St. Clair Trivia Night is turning into a “teenager” this year with our 13th version of the event coming up on Friday, July 25 tied to the cookout that night. I will be your MC once again assisted by Jen Boro. For the 3rd year in a row, it will be covering the 90’s and 2000’s. The event will include our normal Friday Night Cookout routine (food typically starts being served at 6 pm) and then we will start the trivia after eating – likely around 7 pm. We will use our same format. Form teams of anywhere from 1 up to 6 people. Many teams form at the pool so no pre-planning is needed – we can help you find a team. Then give yourselves a super cool or super lame team name. Then we do 3 Rounds of 10 questions each and will likely finish around 9 pm. Jen will be my helper grading the answers under strict trivia auditing guidelines. And after 2 rounds we provide an update on the standings before our final round. You can count on some light hearted anti-Bulldog and pro-Buckeye talk. Ya’ll know the Big Ten’s Ohio State Buckeyes are National Champs right? Despite how apparently “It Just Means Less” in the Big Ten. Come on – you know I love you Bulldogs fans. I might even have a kid there someday. As usual, we will have annoyingly average at best prizes for the top few teams. So mark your calendars for this ALWAYS fun event.

4th of July Celebration

Friday, July 4, 2025
11:00 AM

We will start the day off with a Fire Truck Parade. The truck will be at the corner of Arborwoods Dr and Cortina Close (Mayfair side) at 11:00 a.m. Children and parents are welcome to decorate their bikes/wagons/strollers and follow behind the truck to our pool.

At the pool there will be fun in the sun as well as popsicles for the kids. Feel free to set up by the pool right after the parade.

Shrimp will be boiled!! Bring your side or your dessert. As usual, there will be limited beer and kids drinks.

Food will be served around 2:00 P.M. If you live in an even-numbered house, please bring a dessert (brownies, cake, cookies, etc.). If you live in an odd numbered house, bring a side dish (pasta salad, vegetables..etc).

Chastain Night June 14th @ 5:30

The Sawgrass Band is tuning up and ready to rock—so get ready to dance, laugh, and possibly sing off-key!

Now’s the time to claim your table and tell us who you’re sitting with. Tables seat 10, so grab your favorite 9 party people and lock it in!

If you already know your crew, go ahead and start scheming—er, planning—your table’s theme, snacks, and drinks. (But remember: no glass bottles or containers. We’re here to party, not to sweep up shards.)

Summer is on the way, and this is going to be one unforgettable night. Let the countdown to fun begin—YAY!

Drop off names of people you’d like to sit with money. The event is $10 per person to help cover the cost of the band.

Important Dates:

2024 Wine Down Season!

We are beginning our season of Wine Downs! Last year we learned so much about our neighbors by visiting their homes. I can’t wait to see what this season brings.

Whether you are hosting or attending, it is a great time to socialize and get to know one another. Please sign up here to host a Wine Down. They begin in November and run through April. We do not have a Wine Down in May, because we are getting ready for pool season.

Here’s a little bit about how it works.

1) sign-up to host a Wine Down (we can negotiate dates, if it doesn’t work for you)

2) I will bring wine glasses to your house a week to a few days before. I ask that they are cleaned and ready for the next host home.

3) Keep all receipts. You will be reimbursed up to $75 through our HOA. Guests are asked to bring an appetizer and a bottle of wine.

Wine Downs are a lot of fun!
